"LORD, there is no one like you to help the powerless against the mighty. Help us, O LORD our God, for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this vast army. O LORD, you are our God; do not let man prevail against you."
2 Chronicles 14:11
We are thankful you are all a part of the New Hope family! We want your children to have the best possible year at New Hope, and much of that will come through prayer. The New Hope staff has committed to pray in one accord daily for one another and for our students and families. One accord prayer is praying in unity: one heart, one mind, one spirit. Proverbs tells us that “a cord of three strands is not easily broken.” (Ecclesiastes 4:12). When we pray the same verse of scripture each day for our school, students and families, we are like that unified cord, a mighty strong force in the lives of those associated with our school.
You will have a name of a student listed at the top of your printed prayer guide; this is the random student for which you are assigned to pray. Please pray the suggested verse of scripture for this child and the family each day, as well as your child’s teacher. If praying scripture is new to you, there is also an example provided that will help you pray each day. Praying scripture is a way to pray God’s very own words for our children and those who influence them daily.
Powered by prayer, we seek God’s direction to be help our children grow like Jesus grew “in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God and Man.” (Luke 2:52)
