PreK3 - K4
The mission of the Pre-Kindergarten program at New Hope Christian Academy is to provide quality childhood experiences in a loving Christian environment, based on principles of child development and understanding of how three and four-year-olds grow and learn.
Positive early learning experiences help to prepare children for success in kindergarten and beyond. The Pre-Kindergarten program emphasizes engaging learning experiences for three and four-year-old children.
New Hope Christian Academy developed its curriculum for threes and fours based on years of experience in early childhood education, extensive knowledge and training in early childhood development, and based on extensive research. Curriculum materials come from a variety of sources:
Zaner-Bloser, Happily Ever After Reading Readiness, SuperKids Reading Program
Zaner-Bloser, Manuscript Handwriting
Bob Jones, Footsteps for Fours
Purposeful Design, Bible for PreK
Singapore Math, Earlybird Kindergarten Mathematics
Teach Preschool Science
Our program emphasizes developmentally appropriate practice, support the child through sensory learning and discovery, and emphasizes foundational literacy and numeracy. We focus on age appropriate practices that aid in the development of the whole child. Our supplemental curriculum provides a framework for learning experiences that draw on the needs and interests of children. The curriculum is designed to support the child through play and sensory learning. The curriculum considers the importance of learning in the early years.
Requirement: Students must be age 3 for PreK 3, 4 for PreK4 by September 1, of the attending school year.
