core values

Lead with Integrity

We believe it is essential for administrators, faculty, and staff to have a personal relationship with the Lord, Jesus Christ, and to lead lives that glorify God.

Uphold All Biblical Truth

We believe the Bible is Truth, the complete and final Word of God.

Partner with our Families

Our teachers and administrators seek to collaborate with our parents, and we intentionally maintain a balanced school culture, which promotes family time.

Strive for Excellence in Scholarship and Character

The Bible is our guide for morality, ethics, and character; our highest aspiration as a school community is to love God and others, and to encourage individual growth in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control.

Equip Students for God-Glorifying Lives as Leaders and Citizens

As individuals who know the truth, equipped with compassion, wisdom and knowledge, students are uniquely positioned to positively contribute to their places of work, their neighborhoods, the church, and to the next generation. We encourage hands-on leadership and service opportunities to help our students gain guided experience, passion, and confidence.

We provide opportunities to succeed

Viewing each child as a unique creation of God and designed for a specific purpose, the NHCA teachers and staff are committed to teaching truth, while facilitating the learning process. They work alongside parents to provide an exceptional education for each child attending New Hope Christian Academy.

opportunity

New Hope Christian Academy presents excellent professional opportunities to dynamic, experienced leaders committed to education grounded in a biblical worldview. Founded in 2017, NHCA was established with the purpose of partnering with families to provide students a Christ-centered education while fostering a life of faith and service.

Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to high achievement in academics, arts and athletics. We commit every aspect of NHCA to the glory of God. This includes the entire school system from the Board of Directors to the custodial staff, from curriculum to extra-curricular activities, from facilities to finances. While our academics and extracurricular activities are strong, it is our community of faith that is even stronger.

equipping
our students to be ready

College guidance begins in the spring of a student’s eighth grade year. At this time, students meet with a counselor to review and select their courses for the following year.

Throughout their high school career, students attend individual and group sessions which focus on academic advising, college admissions test preparation, extracurricular involvement, career and college major exploration, college selection, the college application process and scholarship searches.

The Guidance Department encourages students and parents to meet with them to discuss the path to graduation for their student as needed. We strive to ensure our students and their families are well-prepared and informed as they determine colleges or universities of interest.

Supporting
our students for the future

Academic Advising

Starting their freshman year, students meet annually with our college guidance director to select courses for the following year and build a four-year plan.  Each year, this plan will be reviewed and adjusted to accommodate new interests and college plans.

Students are advised to take the most challenging courses in which they can be successful and that meet the requirements of the specific colleges and universities in which they are interested in attending.

Testing

Students take the PSAT and ACT Aspire tests. We recommend that students take the SAT and/or ACT college entrance exams during their junior year with the option to retake their senior year. Test prep resource information is available through the guidance office.
